Vegan Lentil TVP Sloppy Joes

Take a classic and make it vegan! Lentils and meaty TVP come together in nostalgic flavors for the perfect messy weeknight meal!

Done in 30 minutes and something the whole family will love! Even the kids! 

What you'll need to make this

1/2 cup red lentils 1/2 cup TVP 1 cup water/veggie broth 1 bell pepper 1 cube veggie bouillon 1 tbsp chili powder 1 tbsp paprika 1 tbsp garlic powder 1/4 cup mustard 1/2 cup ketchup 2 tbsp dill relish 1 package hamburger buns

Dice up a bell pepper and add to a frying pan. Cook until softened and starting to turn translucent. 

Next, add in the lentils and water and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, add in the veggie bouillon, sugar, garlic powder, chili powder and paprika. 

Mix everything together really well. The mixture should darken in color. 

Then, add the TVP

Finally, add in the dill relish, ketchup and mustard. Mix everything well.
